With his neck deep in business, a very young Michael “Mikee” Romero quenched his thirst for sporting action by engaging in cycling, basketball, shooting and polo.

Not satisfied being an athlete, he transformed himself into becoming a team owner of a basketball team, a volleyball squad, and a baseball club, all of which have tasted victories that satiated their owner’s hunger for victory.

Mikee, those who know him say, is competitive. Too competitive that even when he decided to try his hand at public service, he transformed that energy into something even more productive to benefit his constituents.

At present, Dr. Michael “Mikee” L. Romero, PhD. has authored 795 House measures, the most among lawmakers.

Four hundred seventy-five of these measures were filed during the 17th Congress while 320 were filed in the present 18th Congress.

Some significant measures he had authored that were enacted into laws are supportive of President Rodrigo Duterte’s priorities, especially in these times of need due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among these priorities that 1Pacman Rep. Romero helped become laws are the RA 11534 or CREATE Law (Corporate Income Tax Law); RA 10963 or the TRAIN Law; RA 11223 or the Universal Health Care Act; RA 11310 or the 4Ps Law — each helping the Filipinos cope with the effects of the pandemic.
